I've compiled a few demo recordings from my home studio showcasing my Clinesmith lap steel to give you an idea of the tones you can get from a Clinesmith. As you will hopefully surmise, it is a very versatile instrument and quite inspiring to play. For more on Todd Clinesmith's creations, visit his web site and feel free to send him an email.
Most of these recordings also make use of one of the finest guitars I've ever played: a Michael Dunn Rhythm Futur. While the Rhythm Futur was a special small run creation, Michael builds some of the finest instruments in the world. Check out Michael's web site for more information.
Another note: most of the recordings were done using a Fender Princeton Reverb mic'd with a Shure SM57 into a Focusrite preamp into my computer with no processing or EQ, just the addition of a slight amount of reverb. The exception is Jeff's Waltz, which was recorded directly into my Boss BR-8 using a COSM amp. All other instruments were played by me. Thanks for stopping by and listening.
