Speedy West's "Steelin' Moonlight" was adapted for non-pedal steel guitar and performed by Mike Neer on a Clinesmith D-8 Console Steel, a Michael Dunn Rhythm Futur guitar, Fender Telecaster, a box with brushes (my drums) and a Kay upright bass. All tracks were recorded with a Boss BR-8 using no signal processing, except for an amp model on the steel with a touch of reverb. This is one of Speedy's most famous songs and a testament to the greatness of Speedy West's compositional, as well as playing skills. Speedy and Jimmy really made some magic together--this is my tribute to them If you're interested in purchasing the tab/notation package (which includes a short video, a backing track and an mp3, as well as Tabledit and pdf files), it is only $4.95 for the instant download.
